Camping Check List

How To Create A Good Check List

If you’re going camping, you need to make sure you’re prepared. When you’re staying out in the open it’s not always possible to go out and buy anything you may have forgotten. Even the best camp sites have shops that are only open for a certain number of hours each day. The best way to make sure you have everything you need is to write a comprehensive check list before you leave home. Packing The Essentials Remember the famous motto, be prepared? You will do well to remember it when you’re creating your check list. Think about all the essential items you might need before you go on a trip such as clothing. Items such as medicines, toilet paper, wipes, insect repellent, creams and lotions should all be put down first of all. You also need to take enough to last for the duration of your trip. It’s a good idea to take enough to cover an extra couple of days as well, just in case you get held up or delayed. This is especially relevant for medicines you need to take every day. A Check List For Clothing Clothing is extremely important when camping, as even

during the hot summer months it can get chilly during the night under cover of a tent. Your check list should include a wide range of clothes, but it will pay to pack items that can be layered together, as this will keep you warmer than simply wearing a thick jacket. Don’t forget to pack extra socks as well – a couple of pairs of these worn during the colder evenings will guarantee warm feet throughout the night. A Check List For Food Items One of the joys of is eating outdoors. It’s possible to take an ice chest with you when you leave home, but you won’t have the luxury of a fridge or freezer to keep your food cool. Instead, you’ll need to plan ahead and pack only the items that will safely keep in an ice chest for the first day. When you arrive at the site, make sure you have food for a simple evening meal of some kind. You can then go shopping for more provisions, such as ice, the next morning. Camping can be a great experience for the whole family, and making sure you plan ahead with a well thought out check list beforehand will ensure there are no surprises to spoil your arrival on vacation.
