Camping Games for Kids and Family Fun
Besides the telling of very exciting stories as a means of entertainment around the campfire. There are also many games available for kids and family fun as a rule. Therefore one can never really get bored with so many choices for a memorable time at their fingertips and disposal. What is way fun is for kids and parents to be together as a group in everything they do and this includes the mode of games in addition.
As it helps to promote a feeling of family togetherness and bonding overall for each and every family member while out on vacation. The great outdoors is a wonderful place to be together and it should reflect itself in everything that said family does together including games and other recreational activities that involve the outdoors per se.
When one thinks in terms of the word games it can literally blow the mind. As there are so many possibilities for games that undoubtedly do abound in number. One thing that must be strongly considered when choosing a specific game for you and your family is that the specific game be something that is age appropriate for everyone.
The Different Games Choices
There are many different games choices to pick from. Sometimes people can even create their own if they have a fertile imagination and want to be unique in their own approach to the problem. But then there are those who would rather stick with the traditional norm as a rule. So with that said and in mind the following games are for you.
One game is called Circle Jumping and its fun for not just the kiddies but
the adults and other campers if they’d like to join in. The game description is that everyone stands in a circle and holds each other’s hands. It is then necessary for one of the crowds to lie down in the center and hold on to a rope that is about half the diameter of the joined circle in length.
At the end of the rope must be tied some form of weight such as a sandbag or something else. The rope is then whipped around as it increases with speed. As the whirling rope approaches the players it is up to each player to jump up and avoid the rope hitting them. If it should somehow hit their foot this means that they are out of the game. The person who doesn’t get touched by the rope on the foot will end up being the winner.
Another game is called Rover, All Come Over. The description of this game involves the following. A line must be drawn that signifies where the players will attempt to cross. All the kids and adults and campers must stand in a place across from the line. One person is designated to stand in the center area inside of the line. This person calls out to the others Rover, All Come Over.
Upon the person saying the word over each and every player must attempt to cross the line and avoid being caught by the person in the middle. If a player gets caught it is their duty to join the person in the center to catch other players. If any player crosses over the line before the word over is uttered. He or she must also join the catcher in the middle to help catch the others. The game continues on until everyone is caught by the person or people located in the center area. Then it starts all over again.
