Many motorcycle riders today are taking to roads with a camper that weighs less than the typical pop-up campers we see. The size is smaller, but the room is enough for the two people. If you get up to South Dakota during the Sturgis Festival, you will see that motorcycle is not only popular, but something that allows for more people to join the fun. Hotels rooms are hard to find in most cases and is just another way everyone has a place to bed down for the night. You will see tents, pull behind campers, homemade campers and other types of campers towed by many types vehicles. Motorcycle during this time is fun for everyone who goes. There are many motorcycle areas located around the festival grounds.
Campgrounds Are Everywhere
You will find motorcycle campgrounds in states
such as Alabama, Georgia, Arizona, California, South Dakota and Tennessee. And these are just a few. Most motorcycle campgrounds, such as the Blue Ridge Motorcycle Campground in North Carolina, advertise that they cater specifically to motorcycles. If you are planning a motorcycle trip and plan to camp, make reservations ahead of time to ensure you have a spot when you show up at the campground.
Motorcycle Gear
You will need sleeping bags, blankets, tents, cooking supplies and your clothing. If you are taking a camper along, this gear fits inside the camper, if not, you need to pack your load for easy travel. Motorcycle does not require all the amenities of home. If you travel with a tent and sleeping bags, they should be easy to rollup all together and placed on the back of the bike. Motorcycle should also be fun, therefore, pack light and if you have to wash your clothes in a coin operated laundry, it will give you some extra room for other supplies you might need.
Once you get out on the road, you can go anywhere, take any route and spend as much or as little time as you want in one place. You can always pack up quickly and be on the road in no time.
